Course Leader
Reem Labib, M.Ed., an educational leader based in Washington, DC is an independent consultant focused on global school improvement and reform efforts with extensive experience in the United States and the Middle East. Reem has participated as a team member in school quality reviews for seven years, evaluating schools serving students in grades PreK-12. She has also served as head of schools supervising multiple principals, principal of an inclusive arts-infused elementary school and also as deputy director of professional development for a school district.
About the Workshop
The pre-referral or Student Support Team (SST) process is a collaborative problem solving approach that is used when a student is facing academic, social and or emotional challenges in school. The process involves basic steps that focus on clearly presenting the problem, brainstorming high yield strategies for intervention and planning and monitoring implementation through a data driven process.
Workshop Objectives
- Participants will examine the pre-referral process and understand the purpose.
- Participants will be able to describe the stages of the pre-referral process.
- Participants will analyze their current pre-referral process.
- Participants will create a plan of action to implement at their respective sites
Workshop Fee
Per participant: Baht 12,200 (course fee) + Baht 1600 (meeting package)
A group of 3 participants from the same school: Baht 27,000 (course fee) + Baht 4800 (meeting package)
